Static-X is an American industrial metal band formed in Los Angeles, California, in 1994. The band was founded by Wayne Static (real name Wayne Richard Wells), the lead vocalist and guitarist, and consisted of members Tony Campos on bass, Koichi Fukuda on guitar, and Ken Jay on drums.

Static-X gained popularity in the late 1990s and early 2000s with its unique blend of industrial and heavy metal music, characterized by heavy use of electronic elements such as synthesizers and drum machines. The band released several successful albums during this time, including "Wisconsin Death Trip" (1999), "Machine" (2001), and "Shadow Zone" (2003).

Unfortunately, Wayne Static passed away in 2014, but the remaining band members continued to tour and perform under the name Static-X. In addition, they released a new album in 2019 titled "Project Regeneration Vol. 1," which features previously unreleased recordings of Wayne Static's vocals, as well as new instrumentation and production.
